Construction at your station Started Apr 6 Until May 17 The bus loop at your station has been closed for construction and the stop for GO Bus Route 68 has been relocated to Essa Road near Gowan Street. Please use the pedestrian tunnel to access Gowan Street and the temporary bus stops and do not walk on the tracks. Crossing tracks is dangerous and illegal.Train customers: this construction work will change how you get around your station. Please allow extra time to navigate around the construction areas.Here’s what you need to know: • The Lakeshore Dr. and Tiffin St. access to the pickup and drop-off area is closed (see map). Barrie South GO: Weekend parking restrictions May 4 - October 6 Started Apr 27 Until May 17 Starting May 4 through to October 6, a section of the south parking lot will be closed for a motorcycle licensing course. Barrie Line Service Adjustment May 25 - 26 Started May 10 Until May 17 There will be no GO train service on the Barrie line on Saturday, May 25 and Sunday, May 26 while we perform important construction along the corridor. GO buses will replace trains between Barrie Bus Terminal and Highway 407 Bus Terminal as we work to improve your service. Note: Downsview Park GO and Union Station Bus Terminal will not be served by any bus replacements. Customers will be directed to TTC Line 1. Changes to how you access your station starting May 21 Started May 15 Until May 17 Construction at your station is progressing. Starting May 17, there will be changes to how you access your station. Here’s what you need to know: • On May 17, approximately 30 parking spaces closest to the Dissette Street entrance/exit will be unavailable for use to safely accommodate the higher traffic flow (see map). • The entrance to the station from Bridge Street will close on May 21.• The west walkway to the platform will close on May 21. Please use the east access by the station building.• Vehicles can only access the station from Dissette Street.• Temporary bus stops will remain on the street: o Northbound buses: please board at the street stop on Bridge St, east of Dissette St. o Southbound buses: please board at the street stop on Holland St East, west of Marshview Blvd. o Please use the dedicated walkway to safely access the buses • The entrance to the station on Bridge Street will reopen in late fall 2024.
